Yeah, I feel ya. The one that I had on my car (which you heard last week), was pretty louder than the one I have on now. This one reminds me of our old 89 camry.. it just sounds so boring, or soulless. I liked the sound of yours, but then again, I don't know what other exhaust components you're running..

I like it, it's just too loud. I'm looking to make my M42 car a nice DD. I'm trying to get a lower final gear ratio and get a quieter exhaust. I might throw a resonator on my set-up first to see how that goes.

I honestly don't even have my old muffler anymore.
I think I improperly phrased it, the muffler I was given was an 'oem replacement.'
Its tip is smaller than the stock one, that came on my car, and it sounds as if its overly suppressing something.
This one looks like it belongs on a Honda.

no it doesn't, the muffler is the restrictor in the whole system.

Today I put a 'stock' muffler on, and I just don't like the sound. It's to 'wea' for my liking.
I'm taking it back on my Friday, shop owner says that he will be able to hook me up with a Magnaflow instead.

Dropping it off tomorrow for my new muffler (mine's been shot for about 10 yrs :D)
and the heat shield had practically come off.

Also, replaced the door stop yesterday. Old was one was broken into two.
That reminds me, I need a door stop, you going with an aftermarket exhaust?

The Door gong is apparently hooked up to the OBC, to 'gong' when the temperature hits freezing..or something like that.
A lot of people who's tutorials I read said they left it out, and it isn't that important to me either.
I still haven't put installed the OBC into the dash yet, I need a new back light first. This one's way too dim.
Before you spend insane amounts of money on the backlight, rip it apart and solder new bulbs onto it from radioshack, I forget which ones I used but they where a bit stronger and worked great. Not worth the $65 asking price from pelican if you ask me.
