Yeah yeah my pictures suck. I got it running and it's no longer leaking coolant. Put blue's suspension on it. Still a full eta engine. Trying to save for an i head and intake. Havn't been working on her much, but guess who's going to be fixing/servicing Porsche's?!

Buy my extra E30 stuff: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/pts/1964092460.html

So I took a look at the 325i's head. Someone put in an ETA head on it. Ughhh. So I went to the yard to buy an i's cam. I tried to get the valve springs too but my vatozone compressor is a piece of crap. Blah blah blah on with the photos:

    Mad camber yo!

Had to use the tow truck. Don't mind the totaled Q5.

    My graduation present to myself.

Just curious what my 15" MOMO's would look like on it.

It was so much easier to pull the engine out without the head. Be jealous of my Cowboy Bebop signs I made.

My shopmate is such a slob. -___-

Painting while I wait for our ancient PS2 to load.

    Two hours of hard scrubbing.

    Even cleaned the rest.

Going back tonight before meeting up with a homie at a strip club. Might just put the engine back in the car?

Finished the rebuild on the Jetta last week and took a break on working on cars for a few days. My control arm bushings were completly gone in the GTI so I put in new Prothane ones and looked at the E30 for a good 20 minutes and next thing I knew:

Tomorrow I'll clean it up. Maybe paint? Hopefully this weekend the engine/transmission will be out of the red comet.

Anyone happen to have the shift plate used in older E30's? My "custom" new to old adapter is a piece of crap.

Haha I'm not sure exactly. My Dad lived in Cupertino and would love to drive his Corrado through on route to pick me up for the holidays.

Ah well I feel dumb. I'm actually planning on driving from here to San Diego, to San Francisco to Vancouver around the end of this year with the E30, so I'll be sure to hit you up. My dad keeps raving about how fun it is to drive up and down that canyon near there.

Factory sports seats are not Recaros--Recaro actually did offer a seat option in the E30 but it's really rare.

gg with the 4 door, if you actually do swing by SB shoot me a PM. I haven't yet been in the passenger's seat when it's being driven hard.

I've been doing some research on ways to combine my new 2.5 that broke a timing belt and still running 2.7 and actually found the most info on wikipedia. Haha!

    Super Eta-based

The easiest is to start with a September 1987 onward Super Eta and installing a 325i cam and springs, a complete 325i intake manifold with injectors (because 2.5 run on 12 volts,2.7 run on 5) voltsand throttle and plugging in the 325i engine control unit. Depending on which cam, chip and intake is used, this combination can make 180-200 hp with the stock 8.5:1 compression ratio and will rev to 6800 rpm.
Would anyone happen to know if i need to hone, drill in oil holes or modify the cam journals in my eta head to support the 2.5 cam?

Some photos for your help. :]

I'm bummed it doesn't have Recaro's but glad the interior matches and is in such good shape!

(the rest of the engine stuff is in the trunk btw.)

Haha nah I got them at the north yard. I only go to the north one because they always have at least a dozen e30's and a handfull of MK2's.

Did you go to Wuste? Was one of the two E30's yours?
