Yeah, let it sit for a while. Go through and make sure you don't have any vac leaks. Make sure the hose on the back of the intake to the icv didn't get blown off from boost. I'm sure your running a diverter valve? Make sure you have it hooked up correct.

      Will do.

I am running a diverter valve, and I am positive its on there right.

I will double check the small tube on the back of the intake. As well as all other associated tubes to ensure there isnt a vacuum leak.

I didnt find a single problem with any of the hoses related to the intake. Everything is nice and tight and where it should be.

The ECU and battery are currently disconnected.

Plugged that shit back in, and it fired right up.

It idled fine, right at 800.

As soon as I give it gas (a minute after it was idling just fine) it revved fine, then it sputtered down to 200 rpms, barely stayed alive, revved back up, then died.

TRM told me the idle is the hardest part of getting their tunes right. So I am out of ideas.

Well I was just taught something pretty important by the masterminds over at TRM.

Apparently my MAF needs to be between 8 to 18 inches farther away from the supercharger. I misinterpreted the thing they said about the MAF and idle.

Unfortunately i got this info after the sun went down, so I have to wait til tomorrow til I can fix it.

The drivers side high beam is being removed, and the filter is gonna stick out just a little bit. They said that will fix all my idle problems, and I should be able to fully enjoy my setup!

            I am excited as hell!

This sounds about right. I was going to post that earlier but forgot.
Jordan "Stück" on e30tech had this exact problem. He moved his maf and all is well now.

                Good to hear that.

                Tomorrow I will fix it.

                  June 28th, 2010

I got the MAF moved another 13 inches from the supercharger per TRM's instructions.

I managed to get it down through the hole that my old "CAI" was through, and I extended the MAF wiring to reach the new location. I cut a tube, attached em all together, checked over my work, crossed my fingers and fired her up.

And all I heard was the beautiful beautiful noise of a supercharged S52 inside an E30 as it purred at idle in all its glory.

Some smoke was being emitted, and it worried me. I let it warm up for a few minutes, then i slowly applied some throttle. It revved gently to 2k, and fell right back down to idle. Perfect. I let it warm up some more and I started pinning the throttle, just taking in the beautiful sound it made. Though there was still some black smoke, but it was dwindling.

I let it warm up to almost operating temperature, and more vrooming was in order. To my surprise there was almost no trace of smoke from the exhaust.

I was leaking from the damn oil cooler again, so I shut it down and resealed it with some JB weld for good this time. If it hadn't of been leaking I would have romped the damn thing all over base.

So tomorrow at lunch when it is fully set she is getting opened up for the first time. I am shaking with anticipation and excitement.

On a side note, my buddies car that the supercharger came off of got started today after we reinstalled his detuned ecu and put stock stuff back on it. As he left I told him to text me and let me know how slow his E36 M is. haha

Thats all for today. All in all a pretty pivotal day, and I am feeling very confident in the abilities of my E30.

Second day of driving the E30.

The radiator is leaking though. Looking for another one

                      June 30th, 2010

The second day of driving the E30. It has been on the road for about an hour now. It isnt running as rich, but I can still smell fuel heavily. Thats something the second, third and fourth tunes from TRM can fix. But first I have to get the thing on a dyno. I will post charts afterwords and whatnot.

I can officially say, the E30 is finally quick enough. I havent given it more than half throttle, simply because I dont need to. 40 to 80 mph is achieved with a blistering quickness at only half throttle.

I am in heaven when I am behind the wheel. It is so crisp, and the power is so instant, regardless of gear and rpm.

I know I have to get you guys videos, but I never have a free hand! haha, I will get some quickly though.
