    My E30 Project / Build

    Hey Guys,

So after buying Vlad's E30 M42; I've had some things I wanted to add to beef this bad boy up. Heres the things I still want to do or have already done to this car. Everything will be covered in this thread as my Friends and I progress:

Note: Because of the interior colors, I decided to go with amber / redish lights to fit the theme. Right now Vlad installed lights that turn on under the driver and passenger seats; would like to change these to amber / red eventually. I will get pictures of this and the ones in the trunk soon.

    - Install M3 Illuminated Shift Knob - DONE
    - New Bavarian Autosport Mats - SOON
    - M3 rear seats , or something of the sort (not 100% sure yet) with red stitching. - IN THE PROCESS
    - Install Sound System - DONE
    - Swap the M42 for either a LS1 / S52 conversion. I'm not sure which I want to do yet, would like some suggestions. I'm in the process of finding a good candidate for the swap. - IN THE PROCESS
    - Switch out blue lights under driver / passenger seats to amber / red lights, including the interior lights.

    * will be adding more as I progress most likely...

This is what it looks like with the M3 illuminated shift knob, it goes very well with the interior lights at night. I will try to get a picture of this as soon as possible. This was actually fairly easy to install.

I also installed a Alpine Sound System (1000 W, which is enough for me personally); this went fairly well also, there were some minor glitches with wiring, but we eventually got everything hooked up; it didn't help that the sub-woofer shorted out; had to take it back and get another one.

    Will be updating often.
    Stay tuned.

        Thanks,
Yeah I saw that - turned out to be a good day even though it rained a little.
