So I painted my chrome trim around the windows today and it looks soooo much better. I was going to load up a teaser pic off my cell but its hating photobucket right now so you'll have to wait.

Also plan on repainting the door handles since they look like crap and might do some prep work on my front valance. I'll have pics later today.

Also should be getting some parts soon, already bought a knee bolster and working with a guy for set of shadowline trim since mine is pretty rough.

Here are a couple terrible pics lol. I'll bust the Canon out once I get some more work done tomorrow. Still need to clean off the over spray on the windows as amazingly there were no newspapers at my parents house lol.

This car has come a long way!

New front bumper surround (wavy) and recovered seats would be next on my list.

Would also entertain body color matching bumpers and surrounds while leaving bumper trim in black..

Let me reiterate that you've been doing a great job thus far with cosmetic choices.

I'll be working on fixing the bumper surround when I replace the front valance.

Also thanks for the kind words!

Looking good. My first e30 was an '85 e.

Another cheap and easy touch is to paint the hoops around the headlights. Paint them with the same stuff you used on the grill.

More work today, repainted my side trim (hopefully will have actual shadowline soon) and also the door handles.

Before and After on the handle

Then I painted the trim across the door panel.. not very happy with the finish though so I'll probably redo it. Also replaced some clips on my door panels.. Oooo exciting lol.

Seems a little excessive to paint the door handles and trim on the car. You know all you have to do is look under the handles to un-screw two screws to pull the handles off, and all of the side trim either slides and or pops off.

                          Car looks great though.

I tried getting the trim off last year and it didn't come off well so instead of me messing it up I just taped around it. Had plently of sheets so no overspray except on the windows which is no biggie. I didn't know that on the handle though, they were very easy to tape off as well though.
