      Update time! Been damn busy, long beach was a bust. I didn't get the car to my wiring guy soon enough and he could not finish the car. Average shifts on the car ranged from 16 to 24 hours, the longest being 41 hours the day I dropped the car off for wiring. Then my wiring guy had to go to panama for the formula d demo and I missed out on Atlanta too due to the lack of time to get the wiring done. It's a lot of work and it needs to be done right to not have problems down the road. There have already been plenty of dnf's this year due to wiring problems. Frank at Racetune will be handling the wiring harness All the wiring is milspec materials, all connectors are relief booted and every wire heatshrinked entirely. No janky splices into the factory harness and it is garanteed for 10 years. I am currently planning on making the palm beach event, but I am awaiting a reply from formula d about my plans. I could skip the season, get the car ready for next year and do it right. Or I can go for it this year, I would have to make top 32 at 4 out of the 5 events left to secure a license for next year. If I skip this year I will have a license next year garanteed. Once I hear back from formula d I will make my decision.

      Tube front end is done and ready!

          My buddy got some shots when I was welding up the O2 sensor bungs. So that hole you cut before you weld your bung in place is totally called a bunghole....

            Made my first set of headers and my first exhaust for the car. The headers were on the tough to do with just a pile of tubing and no help. I don't really have anyone to teach me these things so I use my best judgement to tackle jobs that may be too hard. After all I have only been welding for 3-4years and have no schooling or have ever worked in a fabrication shop. All my skills I learned from Ed at groma fab when I was there for a few months working on the car and rest I owe to Google... Whenever I am in over my head I asked rob and jake at metrix motorsports to back me up, I have some crazy ideas sometimes...

                Nobody made the 16 gauge 4 1/4 inch tubing I needed for my intake tube. So I took a sheet of 16 gauge mild steel, rolled it to 4 1/4, welded the seam, cut some pies and I had and working intake!

                  Was wondering if I was going to see this down at Road A last weekend!!! love everything you have done but it's the small detail work and fabrication you have done along the way that really impresses me! Your build makes me want to get in the garage and start practicing my welds and metal fab. Keep up the fantastic work. This year or next, I'm very excited to see this thing ripping in FD.

                                I am gonna have to wait it out. There is just not enough time to get the car properly prepared this year and I would need to make at least top 32 in all the remaining events to retain the FD license for 2014. Since I did not run any events this year I have the license ready to go for 2014 and plenty of time to get the car dialed in. My tuner and I almost had the car started last Friday, turns out the lunati lifters I am using will not work with the stock pushrod length. I called lunati tech support before i bought them asked if it would work with stock pushrods, and they said yes.... They are wrong, the pushrods are too long and the valves are not closing....no compression! I called to tell them it didnt work and they told me it should work even after I explained to them why it was not working. I realized they were stupid and hung up the phone and ordered a pushrod length measurement tool from jegs. Problem is my tuner is now on the east coast and won't be back untill the 30th so I will have to wait to try again when he gets back. I also ordered several shorter pushrods sets in hopes that one will work and I will be able to start the car the day he gets back.

                                On the good side there were no leaks from any of the hoses i made, and there are a lot of them. A small leak from a crappy drain bolt in the canton oil pan than should be cleared up with a bit of thread tape or a rubber washer. And another small leak from an xrp oil filter that I am using as a pre filter for the engine because the main filter is all the way back in the truck. The leak on the xrp filter is minor and is coming from where the canister screws together, some thread sealant will work well there. Both leaks will be taken care of after tuning and during the first oil change. Everything else is ready, once the car is tuned I will get it aligned, go back to the shop and corner balance it, check all nuts/bolts/fittings and go testing. I will post a video of the dyno session when we get there in a few weeks.
