Top cover cleaned and trim installed

Side skirts off. I like them, but they are staying off till I have something on the front to match. Also random trim and seats reinstalled.

Me and my Dad cleaned out the other garage and moved the E30 and E34 in before the HOA towed them.

            Found this when cleaning...

            Hmm where did this go?

            Oh right

I'm wanting to get started on pulling the engine sometime this week, but I don't think it will happen. The weekend is off too due to work. :(

One shot before the tear down begins...

Hood off. Apparently I had heated washer jets, that my dad abruptly broke. >_<

Then I checked out the coils, plugs, and injectors. All good for the most part, but I rather have the PN handy for the o rings on the injectors if someone has it. :)

Before I called it quits, I torn into the front bumper and cleaned the plastic valve covers up.

I've been busy and tired the past few days, so I haven't posted anything. Since I'm still really tired, this is going to be mostly pics. ;)

                          BOX-O-PARTS

Popped the valve cover. Everything looks good and the chains are tight.

                          Leaked. >-<

Good thing I got new ones! :D

Striped, sanded, striped again, pressure washed, and painted.

                          Schteeeeeaaaalllll

                          Quick respray.

                          Reinstall:

Was almost finished, then this. .-.

So I put this together instead.

                            CUE THE BRAKES!

I have the chance to own the E30 I always wanted, but wasn't for sale at the time I was looking. It's a 91' 318i 4 door M-tech in DS metallic. Basically my M-tech E90, but 20 odd years ago.

The owner said I have first dibs since I looked at it awhile back when he first was going to sell it. :)

So I have a few scenarios...

                            1. keep the cabby and swap the M42 stuff over into it
                            2. finish putting it back together and sell the cabby to someone who will do it right
                            3. cry myself to sleep at night because I decided to pass on my dream E30...

                            Pics of the said e30:

More here on his PB: http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...e30/?start=all

It's a little rough around the edges here and there, but nothing a little TLC can't fix. So what's R3V's thoughts?

Well I got everything unbolted underneath for the most part, minus the exhaust. I said "screw that, I'll finish that tomorrow." My arm was a tad bit sore, although a air wrench made it a hell of a lot better. Anyway, I moved onto the engine bay. I disconnected the whole harness from the body, unhooked almost all of the lines going to the engine, and drained the coolant system and removed the radiator.

Also I videoed the M50 running for a bit. Missing a vacuum hose is a bad thing. :)

Good news is the new valve cover gasket is holding.
