Car was leaking a little oil and coolant, so I decided to tear it down and address these problems before I head off to college.



All timing components are new too, guides, tensioner, chain etc.... got a new crank gear too.
Got some new metal to weld into the M3 to fix the rust.

Annnd we recently picked this bad boy up for 1000. Original owner since 1990... its minty.

doing any upgrades to the motor for moar powah?

not really. I already did ltw flywheel, e28 engine mounts, exhaust, and now I'm just going to get a chip and stuff. Its my DD so I don't want to do anything too crazy... the m42 is hard to cheaply modify.

And I got the head shaved and resurfaced, valves ground, all that good stuff.
