So I went to Gutenfest with the intent not to spend money - I live local to Gutenparts and help Levent out being the "Guten Bitch" as we jokingly say... As the cars rolled in, this car rolled in from Boston - '89 alpine/bue, 100k miles, auto, clean body. After taking a day to think about, it was too good of deal to pass up. The car is very clean and tonight Levent did some magic by cleaning out the engine bay.
The story I was told by the seller, the car was sitting outside under a tarp and was extremely dirty when he bought it. But he did a great job cleaning it up, placed a new top. Records go back to 2000, but based on our preliminary inspection, new timing belt and maintenance will be first.
It is going to be a birthday present for my Father (so the auto is perfect for him). We had an '87 alpine/cardinal. He is out of the country and will surprise him at the airport in a month. I can't wait to see his face!
