I'd SERIOUSLY consider, nay, without question I'd reinforce the motor mount "ears" on the stock subframe.

Otherwise, I'm interested to see the progress.

Scary idea for an engine mount with such high amount of Torque.

I would have welded the mounts to the frame rails. With the subframe being bolted to the mount. Or made new mounting arms.

                Other then that. Wicked.

Nice project, looks like it fits in pretty easy. And like everyone else has mentioned the mounts will fail. What does the other mount look like?

Hey thanks for the heads up guys, I havent been able to get a good shot at the other mount but is welded the same way with a bolt going across like this one.

So even though the bolt passed through the mount, that square metal (inside re enforced so it doesn't collapse) and the sub frame I may be looking at disaster?

I will reconsider those mounts then.
                    Best Regards,

Another 2jz E30, good to see. We have a few here in Aus and know of a few others around the globe.

Looking good but as everyone else has mentioned, those mounts wont last. Go overkil on the mounts IMO

e30 subframes are pretty weak at the motor mounts and break under heavy use with the m20. AKG makes a ready to weld in reinforcement kit.
