looks beautiful kermugit. :up: Got the completed bottom end home and on an engine stand. Also started to clean the head that i will be using. Heres some pictures.

















And here are some pictures of the seta motor i got. Took the pistons out and the cylinder walls and pistons are in great shape (just a little dirty).

Since the last time i posted here, a lot has happened. I have installed the head and started installing everything. I am currently waiting for my timing belt and oil pan gasket, along with plugs and an oil filter. Once this box arrives, the engine will be ready to go in. Next Saturday is the big day, installation day. Here are a bunch of pictures from what has happened the last week.
























And heres some stuff that i painted, that will be installed as a final touch.

Here are a couple of pictures of the engine getting set up on the honing machine. The engine is coming home next week and will be final assembled and dropped in the car. Unfortunetly the tail lights i got don't fit.

I fucking can't wait to work on these. only one more Year baby.:drink:

Today i keep on going paint crazy and painted all the pulleys, alternator accessories, engine mounts, starter and some of my extra front and rear crank seals.

Warning: PICTURE Heavy ahead

Got my final package from pelican parts last night. Naturally i stayed up late and finished the engine. The presents included a timing belt kit, oil filter, Bosch spark plugs, and an oil pan gasket.




First thing i tackled was the timing belt. To start i had to remove the old crappy tensioner that i had installed for mock up.




Next i opened up the shiny new Continental Timing Belt Kit




Definetly one of the simplest timing belts ever!!! Took only about 5 mins to put it on. Looks good. All the timing marks are lined up perfect.








Next i put the freshly painted timing cover, water pump pully, alternator, and harmonic balancer. Looks so nice.






Third task. Install the also freshly painted oil pan and a Mahle Oil Filter.








Then the spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor went on and the engine was finally complete. And here it is a rebuilt m20b27:D














Hope fully it will stop raining soon so i can install it. It will hopefully happen this weekend, depending on family plans for Christmas.

On Thursday i got an open window in the rain and from work to drop the engine in the car. So i left work early and borrowed th shop truck and started loading up for the super long 1 mile drive to the car.

Hopefully, i will be getting a transmission next weekend. Thats the progress so far. Its now actually starting to look like a CAR.

So last night, i put the radiator in and started to hook up all the coolant hoses. I found a small problem though. The water pump that i used has only one inlet. The result is that there is no place to input the coolant tank. Now i have to either change the water pump, or buy a hose and a tank that will work with this style water pump.

So, i have decided on a solution to my water pump problem, i need to buy the one with two inlets. So if you have one for sale pm me, don't care if it's used. So i started to put all the necessary parts back in the engine bay. I put the ABS Module in. It will only serve as a gigantic proportionating valve. I might hook it back up if i can figure out a way how to isolate the ABS system from the rest of the harness. I also began to run the power wire, from the battery in the trunk to the front so the engine can have power.

TodayWhen i was taking pictures of my items for sale today, i found a box that i had forgotten i had. I t had the intake boot in it, as well as a harmonic balancer and thermostat housing. Both things i will need for the SETA Engine. This is perfect timing for me to find the intake boot, because i have a box coming from RagtopE30. It has my Brake Booster, master cylinder and an ETA air box w/AFM. Heres some pictures of the car yesterday, its been raining a lot, so it looks bad from sitting out side.
