Did some late night wrenching with some buddies and finally pulled the motor out, hoping to have the bay painted this week so the swap can get going... Drift events start in about a month, gotta get my ass in gear.

We also test fitted some wheels on my daily and pulled some collars off the coilovers on my buddy's 240.

I'm not sure it's paying off yet, but it's definitely coming along... Hopefully the payoff will come soon.

Yeah, I have to give a big thanks to the guys at IND for not only giving me a good deal on paint/body work, but also letting me pull the motor at their shop, even into the wee hours of the morning...

Be sure to check them out at http://parts.ind-distribution.com/

And you can see some of the photo work I've done for them if you look at the projects/builds here:

who do you get tires through? clubloose no longer gets deals thru NEXEN, so i had to bite the bullet on a set of falkens from DTD...

I've been running DZ101's out back for the last season or so, I usually pick up tires through either WSTO http://www.wheelsto.com/ or just straight from TireRack since them being about 2 hours away makes shipping cheap.

I think this year since I'm now gonna have a car with small rears I may run AD08's all around.

i do like the DZ101's, they dont get greasy like the 512 does.. luckily the falkens are for my street wheels!

i wanna try the yokohama s-drive, it looks to be similar to the dz101

As for the lexus, I had two, and I posted them both for sale. I parted and sold my SC300, and kept this guy here:

thats the lexus that i was talking about. glad you kept it, i love that car.

as for the mount swap kit, i dont think there would be enough interest as theres only a select few of us that actually want an sr20. im more of a DIY guy anyway. i just want to see what you do about the turbo location cause IIRC it interferes with the steering column. also the wiring, you planning on running the stock redtop ecu or a standalone?

Yeah, dz101s seem to be a healthy medium between steady traction, wear, and cost. I haven't tried the s-drive.

I didn't assume it'd be a mass produced kit, but if they keep all their measurements for the mounts and such I'm sure they could always make them again later. The main issue I've heard of is the turbo and manifold with the brake booster, but I'll be running a 2002 booster, so that should clear up some room. I'm sure the exhaust can be routed around the steering column, but we'll see how it goes once we get to that. For wiring I'm running the stock ecu.
