    1988 325i convertible. Alpinweib/cardinal

I recently bought this e30 from a guy in KC.

He owned it for about a year and a half and he bought it from someone in SC, off of ebay.

I ran an autocheck report and it had been in SC it's whole life until heading to KC, and now here to Wisconsin.

The car was listed on CL and I saw it and made a deal with the seller the first day it was FS.

It's got an OEM hardtop, part of the reason I scooped it up.

Don't worry, I'm not going to drive it in the winter and mess up a beautiful, rust free e30.

The headliner is sagging and the material on the exterior of the hardtop is a little rough in a few spots.

I'd like to remove the material and smooth it and paint it alpine to match the car. Also, thinking of Erik's m-tech cloth for the headliner.

The seller is a tech at an independent KC BMW shop, and had done tons of maintenence and repairs, so there isn't a ton to do, but still plenty.

I've been hoarding lots of cool parts and rare goodies for this car, so it's going to be good!!! (just ask any of the MKE e30 guys who have been in my basement!!)

I'll update this as I start work on the car.

I'm super psyched to have such a nice (RUST FREE) e30 to play with!!!

If I am counting correctly, this is the 12th e30 that I've owned in the last 12 months.

    I'm going to be building a 1991 318i 4dr slicktop with an S50 this winter, and I'm currently parting a 92 M-techII vert and a 90 325i 4dr.

    Here are some pics.

I'll start a thread for that car once I begin to take it apart.

Thanks for the kind words errybody.

Do any of you have any tips on how to align the trunk lid?

As you can see in a few of the pics, the drivers side doesn't sit quite right.

That interior is beautiful! I also just picked up an Alpine cabrio, and can't wait to start cleaning it up. You say you are parting out a vert, do you still have the two rear speaker covers?

Nice find. I guess you already tried to adjust the hinges on the trunk, right? Are your trunk seals level? Maybe lower the latch a bit for a better fit?

I haven't had the time to play with the trunk yet. I'm going to mess with it on saturday. I'm planning on putting a mtech2 kit on it. Working on replacing the front seats with recaro LS's recovered in cardinal to match.

                            Thanks for the compliments guys!

I can't wait to get to work on her!
