They are E38 style 5's, and honestly I haven't looked to see how they are attached. Either filled and drilled or used adapters. I am guessing the latter

Yea the wheels will change color or be replaced all together. Your MT2 Rescue thread was a huge inspiration to me! One of the main reasons I started wanting a cabby haha.
Just an FYI to people, I am big into the whole "StanceWorks" thing so this car will eventually get slammed/poked/stretched etc. Just a warning :DComment

If you really want to get rid of those wheels, then I would take them off your hands. Free of charge!
BTW, love the VW.Originally posted by ak-Support is where it's at. Like a bra. This guy has his bra off though. He lives dangerous and shameless; i like him.Comment

So I picked up a set of wheels, can anyone help me figure out what they are? 16x7, seller claimed they were 3 piece, how can I tell if they are? I have 0 experience with splits haha. There is a solid weld around the barrel of each wheel, is this supposed to be there?

can't believe you're ditching the style 5s already. (great e30 wheel)
g/l with your endeavors - especially if you're needing to go 5 lug for the new wheels..Comment

Thanks for letting me know about the wheels, I haven't even taken them off yet haha. She is sitting pretty in my shop waiting out the terrible rain. I will sell the wheels soon enough, they are nice but I am tired of them. And they are black, which I don't enjoy and I don't want to invest the money to repaint/powder them. I am slowly collecting parts, eventually will be tearing her down and rebuilding. I will update the thread when that happens :)Comment
