Was doing some digging into ferrous oxide on my eS

Jack Pad rotted thru. Was but minor rust from the inside, but after some digging the whole pad is shot.

Fire Wall, this was discovered behind my sound deadening panel. Get rid of the crude asap if you drive in nasty weather. Rot irks me so guess it's time to cut it out and weld in some small patch panels.

Does anyone now of a body plug to eliminate the AC lines as in a non A/C car? Need to think about getting a welder...used or new, thinking used from craigslist to start.

I have rust holes in the same places but mine are bigger lol im using a lincoln sp-100 works fine got it from craigslist for $150

Whatever you do don't buy a welder that can only use fluxcore wire get a welder that uses a argon gas tank and standard mild steel wire.

Yeah I'll be looking over next few weeks in between trips.

I need this: Rubber grommet 64 53 1 372 609, but it needs to be a non AC car any suggestions?

Yeah wasn't all that daunted once I had gutted the car completely. Never been a bodywork type but the older chassis are getting harder to find. Like the high arch cars.

Turns out the non A/C equipped cars are stamped like the ski sack area ie ready to knock it out then retro fit the a/c. So I would need to weld a patch there or modify an existing plug. Which is what I will do to start with.

So MikeDay drove out from Providence yesterday and welded up the holes for me in exchange for a S52 flywheel for his turbo E30 pickup.

Once again thanks Mike. Appreciate you and Josh coming out. I have to put the the body plug back in for the AC lines.

Need to get some seam sealer and some under coating. Will be cleaning the slag up today and prepping it.

You using a mig welder? I've been thinking about getting the Eastwood Seam welder and trying that out.
