motor issue turned out to be a mixture of random, semi-typical M90 noise (apparently they're noisy motors) and throwout bearing noise. I desperately need to do the rear main seal, TOB and clutch, but am having trouble motivating myself to pull the trans..

the 2002's M10 went down after some track abuse so I needed something to drive around in.. got the six together enough to drive it around. This required adapting e30 strut inserts and e28 strut bearings.



Unfortunately, a bit of driving has revealed that the engine has what sounds like rod knock, and a fair amount of oil is escaping the rear main seal.
