I had come in here saying it looked like you wrapped your shift knob in aluminum foil, but you've really put some work and money into this, looks good man, you're heading in the right direction.
Haha, thanks, im glad you found something better than a foil wrapped shift knob.

Man, looks like you're on it, but that car has some issues.

Love to know what the wheels are...at first I thought you had a 5-lug conversion and that they were E36 M3 Lightweight wheels. But, um...no.

    Keep at it, man!
Thanks, yes, many issues but worth sorting out (rust/corrosion: main issue)
The wheels are motorsport replicas, thats all I really know, they came with car when I bought it. Ive only seen it one or two other places on the internet.

That's on a budget?! I wish I had that kinda budget and I'm an "adult" with a job. But you've put some hard work into it as well. Great job so far! I look forward to seeing more pics as you progress.
Yes, it is on a budget, i got some good deals. I also have a pretty good job which pays for the car, heres the difference, im in highschool and on break now and I dont pay utilities or have children! so im trying to enjoy every last second of it. Thanks

What suspension are you on? Chances are you'll be fine with the new OEMs.

^ Replacing the control arm? Try this, PB blaster for a few minutes before going at it, hit the metal part that the ball joint comes up through with a metal hammer to try and break rust from inside, try to release it with a picked fork, if it won't work, torch the outside again, hit with a hammer, then slide a cheater bar over the pickle fork end giving you a few feet of extra bar, and put some serious weight on it, I had to stand on mine. This is all assuming you are replacing the control arm...

Yes, PB ftw. I brought (2) cans back to Germany with me last time I was in NY, they don't have it here.

Btw, nice work. Keep at it.

Great work so far. It takes a bit of hammering to break those control arm loose, but it looks like you figured that out.
As far as the LTW's go, they are knock offs. But I think they are really cool, always have.
