Would a bad starter cause the dash to not work? I'll take a video of it tomorrow when I'm at work to help you guys out. The scary part is it ran before the dash came out but then again it's been sitting for almost 3 weeks.

I'll try this as well. :) Thanks for the help guys!

Got the wrench time in today!!

      Parts

      Misc parts off

      Coming along

My buddy Ross, who has been helping me out alot lately and will be towing the car home tomorrow :), hard at work.

Corrosion? I think so, time to order a new one.

At this point we're about 5 hours in and cruising. We had everything off, cleaned most of the oil/dirt off the front of the block. Water pump in, cam shaft seal o-ring in, timing belt on and tensioner on. As stated in the "Timing belt DIY - Keep tensioner bolts loose until belts on then tighten." Well while I was tightening the lower bolt this happened:

Which left us at this until I locate another bolt or it comes in from the dealer

As state previously, the car is coming home tomorrow as it sits in the last picture. This part of the project will be on hold until I get a new lower timing belt tensioner bolt (long name for a bolt lol) , thermostat housing, and possibly a new coolant over flow tank + radiator hoses or I might try to clean out the stock ones and save myself $260. While I'm waiting on those parts I going to do the AC delete, which is where my next question comes in. I have searched and I can't seem to find how you guys plug the hole where the line runs into the block and fire wall, any tips or links to a thread (apparently the search button hates me). As well as cleaning up the engine bay, changing the valve cover gasket, painting valve cover + intake manifold. Should keep me busy for the next 2 weeks considering I work 6 days a week.

And heres a pic of the Momo wheel I will be installing :)

Well we did in fact get the car home safe and sound on Thursday thank God! Haven't even seen it since because of how busy I have been but I do plan on waking up early tomorrow before work and getting some things done.

This is the only picture I have of the whole move, I'll post the others when my buddy uploads them!

Well the cars all back together now but from working on so many 135i's at work my heart is set on them. So I'm selling all my toys and saving up for one.
