    Denny's 1987 325 Restoration blog

**I tough why not start 2011 by starting to post my blog on R3V**

The long rest of my blog can be found here :

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Today was the first day of 2011 that I decided cold or not I'm going to work on the E30 a bit.

I got busy and it got hot quick....doing the fenders.... the wiring not so much..lol

first time rolling fenders after few hours I think I got them done very nicely (Roll and pull) got the puller from a local guy in Ottawa (Matt Rose) he rents them for 40$ for 2 days for those interested his e-mail is: mtblifestyle@hotmail.com

Passenger fender....painted cracked but I don't care since I will be painting the car anyways..

    Driver fender..

Also redone my "i" Cluster since the old "e" cluster will not work..

Installed my SMART FAN Miller performance on my new M42 radiator

I finished all the wiring thanks to this awesome website:

89 " i" harness into a 87 "e" chassis I havent started the car yet...but I know it will be a challenge I dont think the car will start just like that am sure their will be tons of kinks to solve...part of all the fun

You can also see my MAF conversion from miller performance with their black cold air intake...very nice piece.

Also finished the install of the M42 Radiator conversion..really cleans up the engine bay...

Still missing upper rad support... 02 sensor...and a fresh battery so I can attempt to start it up.

After a lot of research on the C104 connector were everybody contradict each other am not too sure what to do with these wires ?? any help would be appreciated.

what a day it was....Its like -25 degree right now time to go inside and warm up a bit

Ahhh the joy's of coolant bleeding! Wasnt prepared for a M20 engine and the M42 radiator conversion with 2 bleeding points. After much research and boiling points of 3/4 gauges almost overheating headaches... I got her done.

I tough its taking a long time to bleed because maybe I had inverted the coolant pipes to the heater core but it was not the case.

Here she is running with my newly painted trunk :) Cant wait to get to this stage...

The engine already getting dirty... :( but it will be easy to shine it all up now that it doesn't have 50 pounds of old caked grease in it..

So proud I found the biggest size battery this thing can wake up 2 E30 in parallel lol..

Got a few more things done.. Got a stock Cat middle pipe for a very good price Thanks Robert! :)

installed ... few adjustements to do on it but for now its good as I dont want to be a nuisance to the neighbors..

NOW for the other half of the car..... I think I got a good month ahead of cleaning, painting subframe, diff, driveshaft, new springs and shocks work ahead easy.... Danny get you butt down here I'm going to need a helper over here lol

Danny is going to need a little break he just finished his rear subframe...Hell it was!! good job dude.

Here are a couple of shots of my finished hood and trunk... paint is not perfect but what paint is?!? I'm happy with the results...its very addicting painting, so I may continue and finish the front end.... or maybe just attack the rear sub/suspension now..!! I still have April and May to reach my goal of June 2th.

sorry for the blurry pics...my camera is outdated..I need a new one.

Before the red german flag stripe there is a semi-gloss black stripe you can only really see it in person..

and a little video of what the paint looks like in a more live format and the car running with my temp exhaust (big exhaust leak)...lol...

Wow! The hood looks great. You'll have to post some better pictures out in the sunlight. Anxious to follow your venture into forced induction as well!
