why not just pull the trunk lock? seems like a pain in the ass to try to paint around and look perfect?

restoring 91 E30 Alpine White Vert - pics
customer's car, came in for the full respray, has been sitting for 3+ years, will get new interior, s54 swap, etc..
the day it came in
snow the next day
I know it looks ok in the pics but it had a lot of dings, some rust and paint peeling
so the work has started
all the moldings are painted already
the back end was primered today
will continue on the rest of the car on Monday :up:
