Good work man. Lots of solid updates!

Did you ever get it to idle smooth again? There is an adjuster screw on the top of the ICV.

I actually did! The brake booster was a HUGE leak for some odd reason, after i replaced that sucker it idles rock steady at 750rpm.. i like it alot :D

still needs things here and there, but overall it has been a good run so far this year! I have yet to own THIS e30 for a year, and i still have many plans for it.

my first was a 91 318is slicktop... and that was in rough shape, its long gone now. and i wasnt nearly as mechanically inclined back then (high school) as i am now. i could have turned that one around.

Its definitely getting power, i can hear the motor "click" when i push the buttons.

Yes, bad ground strap is the one to blame, and the one thats in the engine compartment on the driver side was mine.. it was very stiff and hard to move, and the insulation was toast, i replaced it, as well as added a second one to the other side.

so im trying to get my car ready for Dockweiler and Archiefest next month.

I havent had any luck sourcing a Getrag for my manual swap (its been raining here, and i do not want to go to the junkyard when its all muddy) so i do not know if i will get that done before then.

On the the other hand, my Power Steering is leaking pretty bad, i have sourced it to the banjo fittings/bolts. I put an entire bottle of fluid and it was empty 3 days later, i decided to disconnect the belt to the pump and im running non-ps right now.

Also noted that my Passenger side Motor Mount is busted, engine has shifted slightly and the puller fan is now touching the radiator, it has broken some fins on it. I have a new one ready to go, however im lacking on the new mounts.

Thats all for now. I still have lots to do, just not enough time.

            Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Ive never seen an M20 with that much rust in the plumbing. Good you got it back to a respectful car. Nice work.

                  What wheels are those?

Hey Thanks! The m20 is dying for a rebuild on the head, im burning oil and i suspect valve guides. When I started work on this car, it was easy to see where the PO cut some corners just to get this car to run.

The wheels I got off a local friend to me, The only other pics i have seen of these were on a Jetta Mk2. I am unsure of the offest, and the size is 15x7. They do have a nice wide 2" lip on them that needs more polishing. The caps that are on there are from my old trusty bottlecaps, it somewhat flowed.. so i kept them on.

The girl is currently non-operating right now, my autotragic finally gave up. (no torque getting to the wheels) So the time for the manual swap is now! I am taking delivery of all necessary parts, so stay tuned for swap pics!

Nice Work! Those are old school MOMO wheels from early to mid 90's. Period correct.

Keep us updated and good luck. :)
