Basically, large and simultaneous shifts in financial situation and location have triggered a shift in my automotive project priorities, resulting in the abandonment of my quest for E30-based rally glory. I came to the conclusion that investing many thousands of dollars in a car that I'll only ever get to drive on the limit for a few days a year, at great expense, and with an ever-present danger of total destruction, doesn't make sense for me at this point. I have several other ongoing car projects that are calling my name at the moment, so my limited funds need to be reined in and cutting the rally car project was an easy way to save huge chunks of time and money. So while I still have a powerful attraction to rally as a sport, and I still think the E30 is a great beginner platform for such an endeavor, it won't be happening for me in the forseeable future.
That said, anyone want to buy a fairly stripped down 325is with a brand new set of Lassa gravel rally tires?
