This thread was created more for a place to throw pictures.
I pulled the s50 I bought last week and let me just say, for 137k, this motor was EXTREMELY well maintained.
This will be mostly iphone pictures as they are convenient for me to post whenever.
Brought the engine to the shop and not a spec of cleaning was done. This is literally how I got the motor:

At this point, I removed the manifold to label every piece of the obd1 harness before it gets shipped off to get the adapter hardwired directly into the harness. Should be nice. Notice the extreme cleanliness of this motor. Again, I still can't believe it myself.

Then I decided to throw the manifold back on and clean up the tranny a bit. There really wasn't much to clean as it was flippin spotless when I got it. Remember, I pulled these off the car myself. No one touched this car to pull off parts before me. I guess this car was just some freak of nature well maintained machine. Turns out the waterpump and thermostat and hoses all around were just replaced too. Oh and the compression check turned up some awesome numbers as well! Score!

The guy who I bought the motor/tranny/everything else also threw in this e36 m3 midpipe. Notice the lack of cats and resonators. Straight pipes. Too bad I don't want them.

Well, that's all for now.
