    Simple really. Vac'ed out all the dirt, brushed it to loosen more dirt. Vac'ed again. Then used Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner and soaked it pretty well, scrubbed with a brush and vac'ed again. Repeated with the cleaner a few times then let dry. Any decent upholstery cleaner could do the trick too.

    It weighs in at around 17.5lbs. I worked at a bike shop for awhile so most of it was bought at EP pricing or got hooked up with I have less $1500 in it :o

    Are you waxing it after? Soon as I did each panel they were each immediately given two coats of wax to help seal the paint. Or really a good paint sealer would work. Sanding shouldn't be necessary to get a lasting shine but it could help. Just be care around the edges!

    Mate you've inspired me. I've got a Brilliant Red E30 318iS myself, it was as faded as your red bonnet in that photo just above. I polished it up and it looked almost as good as your car but then it faded again after 2 weeks.

    What am I doing wrong? Need to sand it down first like you did yeah? Or is there more to it?
