    black buddy.

    oh herro. where to begin...

i had searched forums, craigslist, ebay, you name it, i was searching. i went and saw about 5 different e30's.

finally, i found something on craigslist that looked somewhat promising and was local. it was a 1989 325i. it was sitting behind a house in the backyard for about 4 years.

so i went to see it and everything looked pretty good, it was pretty clean only had a slightly damaged rear bumper, valance was slightly bent in and lens on ellipsoids and fogs were busted. the body was completely straight with only a few door dinks and normal wear scratches. but the only problem was i couldn't drive it because there was a few pinholes in the gas line leading to the fuel rail so it was spewing quite a lot of petrol. but otherwise it was bone stock. odo read 187xxx but was broken.

the guy was telling me that it was his daughters and that she drove it while going to college but she abandoned it after it developed a power steering leak.

so, i was definitely interested in it. i told the guy to get the fuel line replaced on it and to call me when done and ill come and give it a test drive around the block. so next day, i get a phone call, and drive over. i started the car and it sounded great, no strange noises, none whatsoever. i took the car around the block and it ran great, pulled hard, and no strange noises. only thing left that was needed was smog.

i told him id pay his full asking price if he gets it smogged. so i get a phone call next day on 7-09-10 telling me it had past smog with flying colors. i told him id swing back after work. so at 10:30pm, i showed up with a wad of cash. we did all the dmv paperwork and i handed him the cash and i was on my way.

pictures of what the car looked on the craigslist ad.

the very next day after i bought it.
    7-10-10

got her home and really went at it. i cleaned the entire car out. interior, exterior, and under the bonnet. i wanted it to smell like it was my car. gave it an oil change with some castrol gtx 20-50 and new bosch oil filter, installed 2 12" subs, and just enjoyed the car for a while.

I'm assuming you used to drive a volkwagen since you have every dumb sticker made and you're rolling harder then a 16 year old kid in the morning. Nice work though, minus the lip and stickers.

just completed its first mini road trip to big bear.
i must say 7 miles in rough dirt roads is a bit tough when your car is lowered.
