I thought ZHP has a silver ring at the bottom. Your knob looks funky for some reason

It does, but the pulse width is smaller so the OBC reads it as better MPG even if it is worse.

    update:

i received my zhp knob yesterday while i was at school. so that is getting put on this morning. in addition, i placed my order for my manifold. seller said he will be shipping it out by next week.

    i'm getting there. :D
    stay tuned.

    edit:
    zhp knob on.
i absolutely love the feel of it in my hands and the shifting is less notchy.

    update:

i will be putting in a brand-used headunit in this weekend as the one i have in there is ancient and took a shit on me. also will be installing a brand-used zhp knob (finally).

aside from that, on to some other news...

ehm, i have been intrigued to start my own turbo build after reading so many of them and having been sucked into it after seeing and riding in some turbo cars, i just wanted to do my own. so, with this said, i have started collecting some parts with the help from jeremy aka monkeymadness here on r3v. now please bare in mind i am going to school beyond full time and i work 12+hours a week so my time and budget is low.

my goal is to run anywhere from 2-7psi on stock everything, once i graduate college and have established my career, i will go all out on a turbo build, but for now, it will be super low budget. hate if you will.

this is what i have so far:
    - saab stock bov
    - 524td manifold

picking these things up within the next week or so:
    - 300td 38ar hot / 42ar cold turbo oil/water and internal wastgate
    - saab intercooler
    - flange kit for manifold w/ new hard wear
    - 19# yellow top injectors
    - turbo oil line
    - oem saab, volvo, 524td charge tubing
    - easy fab oil return line and/or 2 weld in -AN fitting
    - castros custom's maf

    need the following:
    - ix washer tank
    - slim 10" auxiliary fan
    - econometer boost guage from justrack

i want to keep everything as stock looking as possible with minimal cutting and tweaking. as you may know, california laws suck, so definitely trying to keep this as sleeper as possible.

anyways, that's all for now. will continue to update as i go along.
questions. comments. concerns. all are welcomed.

thanks matt. i'll look into it and swap it out for a 10 then. and as far as impairing light output, it did a little, but i still light up the road very well.

i have lamin-x fogs that i purchased before and thought i would compare. the lamin-x is absolutely thicker(probably all of the film i used for just one of lamin-x) and i think that would take away a lot more. overall, i'm very pleased.
