Usually somebody knows somebody and you get yourself a "special" smog. :)

Damn. Looking at this makes me wish one of my cars was remotely finished. One day.

Do not UNDERCOAT your interior!! When I initially did it, I thought... undercoat, bed lining, it's all the same. Undercoat is rubberized, and while it gets hard, it isn't scratch and abrasion proof like bed liner... so after having a few passengers it had scratches and entire chunks taken out of it! You live and learn right? ha

Right when I finished it looked awesome.

This stuff is made to stick around for a while, so I knew it would be a chore getting it out. We thought grinding would be the route, but after an hour we barely made a dent. After trying 3M plastic bits, and about a dozen different sander bits and my friend even buying a $300 air compressor (which we returned)... we decided to go the chemical route and bought some paint stripper.

Here's what it looked like after 4-5 hours.

There is no real method of getting six pounds of gooey undercoat out of a car haha. We just scrubbed with a brush till it was loose then used cloth rags to scoop it out. Real fun.

And about nine hours later. Don't worry, I have lots of little burns and cuts to commemorate the festivities.

I'm really happy to say that my E30 is completely tar free. I have been researching and have decided to go the POR15 Whitecote route. Brush application, UV resistant, and scratch proof! Wish me luck.
