    24v swap plus other goodies

The plan was originally to boost the m20, but ive decided to start on another platform, so im going m50 that will see boost later in the future.

    Drivetrain
    M50b25 non vanos
    255/245 cams
    10lb flywheel
    kevlar clutch
    ACL race bearings
    Mahle rings
    Dicktator Standalone
    Polyurethane motor mounts
    Polyurethane tranny mounts
    zf tranny
    3.91 LSD (considering a 3.73)

    Suspension
    M3 CABs
    E90 M3 spring caps
    21mm front sway
    all new ball joints, etc.
    ATE pads and discs
    205/40/17 front
    225/45/17 rear

    Bodywork
    roll rear fenders
    shaved engine bay
    fix all imperfections
    new undercoating

The idea is to build a really clean (emphasis on clean), daily driveable, decent handling, quick (not fast at the moment) e30.

transporting the motor (mk1 parts getter

    motor before rebuild

    shaving of engine bay

    strut assemblies (before rebuild)

    and the parts collection

    more work done today

    cut out battery tray

    made stencil

    cut out of steel

    test fit

I finished the battery tray delete today but dont have any good pics of it.

im using polyster filler on the bay, got a bit of work done on that

hopefully ill be able to finish up and get the bay primed tommorow

At the moment, im not sure if I like the look of the joints to the the strut tower, I did use polyster filler in very thin amounts, but im still concerned about cracking. I went out and bought polyurethane seam sealer that Im gonna use on the left hand side, then compare the two and decide what I want to do

3.91 or 3.73 aren't going to give you much top end with a ZF diff. As in, you'll run fifth out in moments.

The Zf tranny im running is out of a e30 320i. The ones here did not come with the getrag 250. I was running the same box and diff setup in my m20 and I had no complaints about it. I do however have a getrag 260 that I may consider swapping in as im not sure how the zf will last under boost.
