I know it was way back in the thread/time, but what products/technique did you use to clean and paint your valve cover and intake manifold?
Looks really great - I've got lots of cosmoline stuck on mine.

Wow looks nice. Clear corners and black grill and it's just like my old car.
I also found the 949's bend easy...Leave a comment:

^ yeah it is close to an inch difference from the stock spare size to the 205/50/15 in overall height so it was enough to overheat things after hundreds of miles. It sucks that happened, but I shouldn't have been risking it 380 miles from home without two complete wheels/tires to either drift on or get back on. You live and learn. I like the look of the 205/50/15's... but for my stretch I could use a little more sidewall.... plus I am looking for the cheap stuff to burn up. It'll be back on the road soon... can't wait to do it all over again.Leave a comment:

Damn, was that from running a tire that was a larger OD on one side compared to the other? If those black wheels are 15's those are mighty low profile tires for an e30.Leave a comment:

I happened to fold my wheel over and pop the tire while drifting. I hit this one in a million little pothole while completely sideways and mid-corner. I had my helmet on so I thought my car just bottomed out and spun. I kept on drifting and felt that something was really off about the feel of the car. I get back to the pits and see that my wheel and tire are toast. Luckily my 21 year old spare still holds air so I was able to throw that on and get back on the road the next day to Los Angeles. I thought everything was going nicely until I was about 45 minutes from home. There was some strange rotational noise that started, and then a loud thud and bang. The car was still driving ok after that so I figured getting back home was better than pulling over and risk getting hit or something at night on the busy highway. Turns out one of my axles blew and my rear diff took a dump.
Me still drifting on RIM haha...

The Damage... not bad actually. The lip bent but the wheel is still solid and not cracked.

The rear end damage from the drive home.

been busy but still making time for the E30 when I can. I got a new car to daily so I can keep the miles off the E30 and just drive it for fun purposes.
