This is by far my new favorite car. Thank you vey much for keeping it well documented keep doing it if you can. Any more pictures you could post would be awesome! This thing is awesome on all sorts of levels.
Cheers!
Few extra pictures of the pedal box setup and brakes. Also just a random engine bay shot.
Bit more info on the pedal box. It is a 2 pedal overhung unit. No need for an accelerator as I am using the standard E46 M3 electronic pedal. There are 3 Tilton master cylinders on top of the pedals. 1 front, 1 rear and 1 clutch. There is a bias bar as well so I now have adjustable brake bias via a bias bar bolt to the top of the transmission tunnel next to the gear stick. I had custom lines made up to go from the master cylinders to the standard solid lines. As I said before the rear brakes are completely standard, just have braided lines and a brass calliper bush kit.
Wheels are XXR 530 15x8 +20. Not my favourite choice of wheel but the only decent priced 15 inch wheel that will clear 300mm brakes. I wanted to stick with the 15 inch because tyres are a lot cheaper and wider than the 16 inch variant.
Up next I will post up my custom electric power steering setup
I had a test day out at Lakeside Raceway. Very happy with how the car went. I was with in 0.7 second of my personal best and the car had old semi slicks (Pb was set with new slicks).
First round of racing is coming up and I want to attended to a few issues on the car. It has a small coolant leak from one of the hose joiners, the gearbox breather is leaking and my trusty battery has given up. Apart from that all is ready to go.
A few shots from the weekend. Just a general practice so nothing super exciting just a lot of hard driving! Was good to get out there and cut some laps. I will upload some incar later on.
