Hes using free parts for sexual favors and parts that he already purchased before this project. I get it now. The camber plates were probably custom made by a friend for free.

Why would you put those pads and s-drives on a track car? Still seems like your bullshitting a lot of numbers.Leave a comment:

I totally didn't keep tab of everything, but here you go
GC Coilovers shipped- $420 shipped
2 Front Yokohama S-drives (Only needed fronts my rears are perfect) - $160 shipped
Mintex brakes - $40 shipped
Ireland Engineering fan - $40 shipped
G240 - Free
Billy sports- Free (paying friend back in kindness and series of favors..sexual or not)
Sachs clutch was also free, but ended up not using it cause my E36 motor came with a realy nice clutch.
I did my wiring harness (was using my friend's wiring adapter for the first start), I recommend everyone do their harness instead of paying for one since it's relatively VERY simple, this is my second time doing it with zero problems. This time it only took me about 20minutes going very slowly. Only problem I ran into was the C104 connector and figuring out where to put the x20 Pin 20.
Also got this done.

Thankfully the fan is going to be covering it.
Also not sure if you can see those really nice camber plates in the picture ;)
P.S: I'm not the one who said you can swap an S52 for less than 1K, that'd be a bit absurd since you have to get EWS delete or go OBD1 which is a decent expense in itself. But you CAN EASILY go M50 Vanos or Non-vanos for <$1k . Going S50 for <$1k is a bit more of a challenge since they go for $1k + all day long, M52 is also hard to do for less than $1K since you have to go OBD1 or EWS, S52 forget it.Leave a comment:

It's over budget or he isn't good at math. No decent tire that you can DD and then will be good(not even awesome just good) would be a vast majority of the supposed 700 dollars here. The GC conversion kit is 400 dollars new. Bilstein sports ~400 new.
He also got a free g240 and a free clutch kit? Sounds reasonable to me.
I remember this being the guy that said you can S52 swap for less than 1K... which is less than 99% of what S52 motors are selling for so maybe it is magic? Or he is going with really high mileage used parts and just chucking them on with no regard to mileage or operation. Sure you could search out a 200,000 mile S52 if you wanted to save a little money but if I had one I wouldn't be selling it for less than 1K...Leave a comment:

Wait, so you got ground control coilovers, billy sports, Getrag 240, new sachs clutch, new tires, brake goodies and cooling goodies (IE 14" electric fan) for $700?Ordered all my suspension goodies, got a free Getrag 240, free new sachs clutch, ordered my tires, brake goodies, cooling goodies (IE 14" electric fan)
Got all my 24V parts together, just missing motor mounts.
With all that I still have $1900 left over for a 24V swap..which I will do for much less than $1000

It's has enough little rust for me to call it rust free on the east coast, anything you see is surface and not even close to being structuralLeave a comment:

How is this a rust free e30? I see rust on the drivers door, rear apron, engine bay. But good luck with the build.
P.S. I got my roller rust free from cali for 250 =)Leave a comment:
