Why wouldn't I be able to put S50cams in an M50NV? What problem would I face? I thought people do that all the time hah.

    Correct. Waiting on:

    MAF
    E34 oil pickup, dipstick
Radiator (prob gonna go 318 for the cleanness..)
Perhaps Corrado shocks cause I may not be low enough
    E34 motor mounts

then she shall be built, and I'm still within budget :)
Gonna start the motor before I put the S50 cams on though, I've never opened up a 24V valve cover nevermind do the cams on it. but should go well.

For anyone wondering, running M50B25 perfect compression, $500.
selling the E36 oil pan for $100, then rewelding a cracked E34 pan for free.

Picking up S50 cams for $450 tomorrow :)

^ doesn't really mean much. Too many other factors to consider to compare just the engines themselves like that... weight of car, age and health of motor (compression), driver skill, wheels and tires. These all could have a huge affect on your test. There's probably other stuff your not mentioning too like other mods done, intake manifolds, exhaust setup, etc.

Yes, you have showed that that car with that driver is faster than the other car with it's driver but this does not mean at all that an m52 with s52 cams is more powerful than an s52 all else being equal.

There is no reason to do OBD1 conversion now that tuning options are better for OBD2.
    I'll look into it, thanks.

There isnt a DEFINITIVE OBD2 thread, just a bunch of scattered information. Arghhhhhh..
