Old, old thread, but I thought I should post a pic or 2 of where Lilo is these days.

    Last year's guise:

She's been getting tun hard at Gateway and Road America. This year she'll run Heartland Park as well. With the series rules this year the car has been de-contented some, but should still be a blast!

I've had some great fun on track in her, and she's taught me a LOT. <3 Lilo the Chump Car Racer!

Well, Lilo got loaded onto a trailer today to be delivered to a race shop in St. Louis. There she will be fitted with a cage (and engine and other assorted bits), and will begin her life as a Chump Car Series racecar.

My friend, boss, and now Team Captain, Bill Kniep, is officially the new owner of Lilo. fittingly, he is also the guy who be bankrolling the rest of the build! And it's nice to know that I have a guaranteed ride in the series!

    Lilo going away:

So, I've mostly been helping my buddy Frank with his Vert, and picking up a new DD for my wife (a `97 BMW 318ti), a new motor for it (M50) and not much else!

I did pop some new switches in Lilo:

Also, I found some pics my wife took of Lilo the day I brought her home. Here's my favorite:

I got a few more little parts from Levent on Friday, and I'll install `em tomorrow and post more pics.

Meanwhile, here's a pic of my wife's new ride:

Trying to figure out what way to go with the powertrain in her. I looked at a bunch of pics of wheels with my wife for her new ride so she could pic out a set...

...and she picked a set of BBS LM's! G-d I love my wife! :D

LOL! Might paint her red...haven't decided yet.

Get started on your project, man!

I drove an E30 M3 back-to-back with my modded E30 Sedan today. It was...interesting. It did help further define the direction that Lilo will be built. Light. Fast. Hard as f*cking NAILS.
