Today I tested the rear fog lights to see if they light up. They did light up. Know I need to wire up the fog light switch and fog light dash.

70 miles, like factory new. That would be so nice for you Alpina, or hartge. I have not been able to make a deal on the one I was looking at...so I will continue with the next projects...valve cover coming off:)

I'm not sure if the later e30 318is has crank sensors on bell housing. I would check in that John. The dog leg my buddy has is out of a 1984 323i with 70 miles on it.
Dog leg tranny should bee quite like a 5 speed over drive. It might your bearing making noise and the input shaft bearings. My guess with out hearing the whinning. Keep up with search with your Hartge parts. I already have you my cell number to text you with links to Hartge parts.
Good luck Kelly...Leave a comment:

out of curiosity, is it typical for dog legs to be a bit more "whiny" in their noise level than a normal 265 transmission? not sure if that is a characteristic of close ratio gears or im imagining thingsLeave a comment:

^^^ one of my Friends has a m20 dog leg for sale. I might buy it from him.
I'm not 100% sure they made a CR tranny for the late 89> 318is. If BMW did it should bolt up to your m20.Leave a comment:

Well, now that the move is over, I am back to working on it...will be putting in the mats this week, will let you know how that works out. Putting in a few small engine parts too....nothing big yet.:)
Will the dog leg in a 318is fit the e30 h26???:)

I would say $1000 plus and minus. The Hartge motor was complete and dog leg tranny.
I am sure you will take care of yours! I'm always checking out your up dates on the H26.:)Leave a comment:
