and it is pronounced Ladasha.
I found this guy on Craigslist who would give me a shell free...ad would have the title in "just a few days"...riiiiiiight. 2 months later, still had no title...but had to get rid of it quick so I agreed to come look at it.
This is the pile of shit I saw after a 45 minute drive:

I got really lucky, a buddy of mine, Steve, (GasGasRider) had access to a flatbed, so we brought it to my house:

So, of course, the kid flaked on the title...even after my riding his ass for 4 months. I managed to get it into my name just a couple weeks ago...but of course, now it is cold and shitty.
So, the thing looked like this:

The thing has sat behind my house for 4 months, looking like this:

I FINALLY got the title after much grief and some incredible luck, so it was time to get a bit of progress.
We had a decent day with 45 degrees and clear, so my son and I got busy. After a couple of hours with the Super Clean, 0000 steel wool and a pressure washer, we got the engine bay to a starting point:
.
I only could find a couple of hours to work on it, but as soon as a couple other jobs are finished up I am back to it.
Current plans are a Satin engine bay with a M20B23 and Motronic 1.3, likely back with some polished bits, who knows...maybe I will do as my son (he is CCCXXV here) suggested, do the head and intake in red, the block in black and the oil pan in yellow....don't know yet.
I have fenders, hood, glass, interior, transmission, both a 3.46LSD and a 3.73LSD, a whole bunch of other stuff...and of course, a big stereo, alarm, one touch windows...typical stuff for me.
First thing is to get it to paint, so the underside needs some work. Gotta fix that hole, a couple other rust spots, pull subframes, clean and paint the underside, replace fuel lines, new SFBs, all that jazz.
All so I can squirt it with $80 a gallon cheap-ass Duplicolor "Paint Shop Pro".
This ain't gonna be no beauty queen, but it will be shiny black and have a few pretty unusual tweaks.
Details all in good time.
