I'm glad to see you're cruising in it now! Great work man! wheels look fantastic. I say no to the kit and my vote would be to repaint it the original color.

I ended up clearing the lips....I don't want to have to deal with cleaning them.

Got the wheels all together, tires mounted, and on the car...I need to get some paint mixed up to match the centers so I can paint the center caps. LOVE them!

I am going to swap out the heater core this week as the current one is really leaking. I am also trying to get the cruise to work without much luck so far....

            Wheels look awesome.

Since I saw this thread I've started looking at E28's and LS1/3 motors. I'd like to do a similar build...

Made a 600+ mile round trip to tedfest in canada. Got 25mpg with 3 guys in the car, AC on, and a trunk full of tools. I am happy with that and I think I can get a little more out with adjusting the tune.

I really didn't take any pictures of my own car...my buddy took one right when we got there.

If anyone is in Michigan I am going to have the e28 at the cars, coffee, and karts in sterling heights this Saturday. Should be down there by around 9 or so.

Here is a link to info on the event.

I'm with blunt, the paint looks really cool, and different exactly as it is!

you did fantastic work, I liked watching it all come together as somehow I missed tho thread.

Very well done! Looks great! And I agree with Blunt as well leave the paint the way it is the car looks so clean and crisp the way it is. And what a sleeper it is. Although the exhaust note probably give a small clue as to what is waiting.
Don't worry I'm working on Jparkr's Pro3 in this picture.

                              ^heh^

I agree...the oxidized paint with no rust doesn't look bad at all. more raw.

Me? I'd straighten the front driver side chin and rear valence. Try to hit those spots with a matched flat silver. Chrome kidneys. Polished lips and then be good to go.
