I bought my first e30, also my very first car October 2010. The car is a Schwarz 86 325e. It has houndstooth interior. I bought the car for $700 from one of my dad's workers.
It started off as a California car and was brought to Chicago last year. The previous owner drove it all the way from Cali here, I was surprised.
The car doesn't run right now. The car cranks but it doesn't turnover. Tried multiple things but no luck, if you have any idea what could be wrong let me know.
List of things I've done since I bought it.
Mechanically:
New Battery
New Starter (used)
New thermostat
Replaced all radiator hoses
Fuel filter
Outer fuel pump
New spark plugs
New reference sensor
New distributor cap and rotor
New brake pads
New water pump
Timing was also done
Misc:
Partial plastic bumper swap. (rear isn't done yet.)
Changed fenders, old ones were dented and rusted. They are bronzit right now.
Late model valance
Broadway mirro.
Cut springs, front, I know its rice but I was sick and tired of the 4x4 stance.
Heated springs, rears, even worse but he ride isn't that bad.
Plans:
Plan on doing an 885 head swap
Try to fix all od the rust
Get real coilovers
Get the car repainted
Race it next summer
