I bet your neighbors love you!
Oh, and I suck with carbs. If it were FI, I could help, but I rebuilt the carb on my mom's 68 Bird and never could get the damn thing tuned right.
Double oh, and tighten down that distributor until you're ready to set the timing.
Car sounds great BTW.Leave a comment:

Well then...
Anyway, car is timed, if anybody is familiar with tuning carbs on these engines, lemme know.Leave a comment:

This is a thread about a drift car. My car is also a drift car that has this very same swap. The fact that i can spin tires without a clutch kick means i wont have to put as much stress on the drive train with repeated clutch kicks. Alittle faint and small tap of the clutch is all i need. Not to mention the fact that messing around on a track with a car that can overpower the rear end is fun as shit. Deal with it.Leave a comment:

If you want to proceed at a rapid pace, spinning is losing. There is nothing "technical" about it. Drifting is a game with all the others, racing and bullfighting are sports.Semantics. In a technical sense yes you have "broken" traction but especaily in the realm of drift your still maintaining grip (albeit not as much as a car trying to grip drive) while the tires are spinning. If you need an example watch any of saitos fd follow runs. Smoke and angle but enough power and traction to jump towards the lead driver. Drift is less about loss of traction and more about initiating an overpowering of traction. Its still there.Leave a comment:

You went from talking about accelerating to drifting. Point is, if your car does nothing but spin through the first 3 gears, than the first 3 gears are useless.Leave a comment:

yes, and no. Friction is one of the things the universe came up with, traction is man's idea to measure how much you can pull or push something without slipping.Leave a comment:
