I definitely agree with you to some extent. A lot of car enthusiasts are strictly interested in stance and stance only. Upon first glance, it's usually the first thing people notice about a car, especially if its over the top. It seems people also seem to hate to take the time to read through build threads, and usually scroll through until they find stance related material.
For me personally, what really drew me to your thread was the attention to detail and thoroughness of your restoration/swap. This has always been one of my favorite E30 builds because no corners were cut and the end product is nothing short of amazing. The car as a whole is a prime example of a unique, personalized and proper E30 build in my opinion.

You built the car to please you. Why get caught up in what others think? The true admirers are the ones that see beyond the wheels and ground clearance.
But seriously though. Those wheels are insane!

Well today, I didn't want to post this but after numerous attempts at polishing the face, I have given up. After speaking with "professional" polishers, they all tell me that " they will try to get them better than this ". I guess that the wheel is a mix of different types of metals or whatever. I give up. They shine so so but they are not PERFECT and I've built this car to make it PERFECT. I have decided to send them to powder coat. They should be done next week. For now the color will be a secret. I hope that they come out looking good or else, they'll be stripped and powdered a new color.
Here are a few pics of my attempts at polishing

Know anyone who does this on east coast it's what I want done to my bbs Rs faces?sigpic
