Last week a nice order was made with ECS and today, the package arrived. To start, they had a FRONT BUMPER MOUNTING KIT including every single bolt, nut, washer, bracket that has to do with the front bumper. Good deal. Since, the order was being made, front and rear discs were purchased. Brembos and for the pads, EBC "green stuff". There was a mix up with the order so the front pads didn't arrive and I'm still waiting for my UUC DSSR. When the M3 steering rack was stripped for sandblasting and powder coat, the lines that are on the rack had to be scrapped so those too were ordered. Enjoy

I'm curious to know what you think of the Greenstuff pads once you get them on the car. I had them on my old 325is and was not a fan :/

One of my friends has them on his MK4 Golf and he loves them. I've read good things about them from others too. I guess everyone has their own opinions on things, but I will let you know you without a doubt.

Tonight, I made little progress. I found a diff cover from a local scrap yard. Wasn't much fun removing it. Every bolt was rusted and jammed, but I managed.
Burnt the crap out of the bushing so it can go for a nice sandblast. Once it's back, the AKG bushing will be popped it.

Painted the S50 Beauty Cover all black. Was trying to give it a brand new look with the white but it wasn't happening for me. It turned out better than I imagined.

Here's all the beer we've drank at the shop after hours

Took action in cleaning up the Z3M diff and painting. I used low gloss engine enamel. Came out fantastic. Looks brand new external to match the clean internals.

This morning I mounted TOYO TR1s to my back wheels. I personally don't like the idea of mix matching tires (front and back) but since my buddy had these in his shop, they will be used. He had them on his car for about 1 or 2 months. They're brand spanking new. 215/40/16. Very minimal stretch, exactly what I wanted.

For progress today, not much. Just took apart my AUDI A4 brake booster and gave it a quick little respray. Put the MC back on but will wait for the Reservoir because I've read that the brake booster works but the RES sort of kisses the Throttle Control Valve. Time will tell once I drop the motor in.

Haven't been doing much on the car it self as I'm waiting for my friend to finish his car so we can head down to H20.
I got my diff cover sandblasted and powdercoated. Isn't the best job but for 20$ HEY I can't complain.

A rainy day here in Montreal, so having the day off work, I went to the shop and got to work on painting my M42 Rad. Nothing else to do. The reservoir was removed and a new one was ordered. Should have it tomorrow. The other day, I found a mint IS trunk lip for 50$. Contacted the seller and met him the same night.

I pressed in the AKG Diff Bushing into the cover that I had sandblasted and powder coated. I coated around the bushing with grease. I used the 1 TON press that we have at the shop. Fit like a glove.

This might be the last update I post before leaving for H20. New wishbone brackets. Turns out that worldpac sent me two of the same (passenger side).
It was sent back and will receive the correct one latest Monday. Dropped some grease on the AKG CAB and again used the press. Went in nice and easy.
Red and black make a great combo. I hope to be dropping my engine soon.
