Hello all,
a couple of years ago i got my first car - an alpine white 1990 318is. brilliant.
The day it was purchased:

After a quick tidy up, I removed the double-decker spoiler which, IMO, looks absolutely terrible. Got an mtech-1 spoiler and swapped out standard interior for black E30 M3 leather sports seats and installed the 2 1/4" supersprint exhaust out of an E30 M3.

After this and just learning how to drive generally (was on my learner plates) I entered a couple of events. After the second one I got a bit bored of my lack of power, so felt like change was necessary..
So this happened!
Here is a list of the mods currently done that I can remember at the moment:
M50 engine conversion
AKG engine and gearbox mounts
AKG DTM selector rod
Ralco short shifter
BM-Autohaus custom extractors
Twin 2 1/4" Lukey exhaust
BM-Autohaus sump conversion
E36 steering rack
HD M20 clutch kit
Lightened M20 flywheel
Bilstein shocks
Koni springs
Ling long 205/55/15 tyres (hardness rating of 350 - performance spec
)
Getting ready to pull out the old M42..

Assembling long motor. HD M20 clutch kit/lightened flywheel

Ralco shortshifter + AKG selector rod. Boy is it tight!

Floor view.

Custom extractors thanks to Rubin @ bm-autohaus.com.au, gave 20rwhp on the dyno when this motor was first installed in an e30 in '96 (yes, I do believe this engine is a bit of a slut)

Brake booster delete plate to fit M50 manifold

AKG Gbox and motor mounts, E36 steering rack

All assembled.

Better view of the prettyful extractors :)

The car is still waiting on all the wiring, but after that it will be go go go!
ALSO I do understand that this engine is by no means an M-motor, but it looks better. I'll end up putting in some S50 cams at some point just to half justify the cover!
What is planned:
Motorsport-tools 4pot 280mm front brake kit
BMW 8-bolt 3.73 LSD, when the 6 bolt open-centre reaches its inevitable and, im sure, spectacular conclusion
EDIT: Yes I have made this exact thread before, infact I copy/pasta'd, but this car is more of a project with flowing updates than complete, so shuddupayoface
