Tonight and tomorrow are gonna take some time to get the car ready.

I'm also still working on finding a way to get the car to the track.

Turns out the exhaust has to exit the rear of the car, so it looks as if I will be doing some welding tonight as well. Oh boy. Wish me luck.

SCCA rulebook, unless one of the local officials told you otherwise

11. Exhaust systems from the catalytic converter back may be removed or replaced with the following requirements:
a. The exhaust must exit to the rear of the driver.
b. The exhaust must comply with local noise restrictions

I can't imagine summit has much in the way of "noise restrictions" considering the straight-dump cars that run on other circuits there.

Hmmmm.... so if it exits right under where like the ebrake is, will that matter?

it probably has to exit to the side of the car, I'd bet. So the exit pipe would have to be right behind the driver's seat. I doubt dump under the car is allowed. So just put a quick l-bend in there and dump it in front of the back wheel, perhaps.

Tell them you're a noob and this is your first event, and ask them to put you on the distro. There's alot of good info on there (like lunch pre-orders so you don't have to go get your own, and course condition info, etc)

Welll.... I now have the car on the road. A couple things to do to make it bare-able for the next event. Suspension wise and other stuff.



Also... had a little fun with some cardinal door cards I have. (Patriotic, right?)

I have new front shocks to put in. The front right also has a really bad clunk in it right now. It's pretty bad. Also gonna take the whole exhaust off and weld it all together. It constantly rattles right now.

How you take the door cards out without breaking the plastic tabs?

Hmmm, just pull em off not too hardly? Idk, I broke some of them, so had to replace them with others from the different panels. They do sell those tabs at most auto parts stores though.

lol, I have a big ziploc bag full of the plastic tabs. I grab as many as I can find every time I find an e30 in the junkyard....
