started a topic cmybimmer's e30 build.. turtles pace

    cmybimmer's e30 build.. turtles pace

Figured I should make a build thread since I'm pretty much convinced I'm keeping her (for now..)..

As many of you know, I previously had an e36 for 3 years that I whored out on here just as much as my e30.. Rear ended a mini-van and sold her within a week :(

    (just for old time's sake)

About a month later I picked up my e30.. Very rough shape when I bought it (still is..) but I was happy with my purchase. '89 325i with unknown miles (odo broke at 213k), 5 spd, black interior, and most importantly, Alpine White

    When i bought it

    ;)

As you could probably guess.. The first thing to go were the wheels, before even maintenance! Picked these up

Within a week of driving it, I decided I could not be seen with the 4x4 suspension.. Purchased a set of GC coilovers from a member on here. Im on stock strut hats currently, still need to get a nice set of camber plates up front to drop it a little. Also will probably get stiffer springs in the rear in the future.

Installed IS lip and frenched highs/fogs, and purchased some new(er) wheels.. Also took out the obnoxious dent on the pax fender via hammering :).

Decided I wanted the m20 to go out since the motor had hellur miles.. Picked up an m50 and started sourcing the parts from there. Had to sell the mille miglia's to aid the m50 fund so had to roll on some bottle caps.. Also removed the half-ass tint job from the PO..

    Then she was complete! :)

    Operation started

worked for damn near a month on the damn thing.. Came across some technical issues, but figured out the mess.. Couldn't have done it without my buddy who also lent me his front yard to work on the car <3

First start (solved the problem mentioned in the vid description)

Picked up another set of wheels shortly after the swap and hasn't changed ever since..

Next "mod" would be getting the car BAR'd... then a few engine mods would come in the picture

    Long way to go!

    Thanks for looking.
Working...
