87E first timers build

I picked up my first e30, only my third car in total. Got it for 2000, motor still pulls alright, well for an E. The car is pretty solid IMO, almost no rust, and what little rust there is you would have to search for. has 187k on the odo, i don't know how long it's been out, PO said a couple months so i'm going to assume it has 195 to be safe. As of the next 7ish weeks i'm just going to be doing a lot of general maintnance, trying to get her into good shape. I drove her six hours home the first night i got her so she is pretty reliable, i think.... But at the end of April i'm moving back to Michigan so it has to make that journey, on top of being a DD.

Here's some pictures of the oil leaks and the "Custom Straight pipe" The previous owner did. lolz at the straight pipe


Basically the whole underside of the car is covered in oil, i get more student loan money in May, so my buddy Lucas and i are pulling the engine, putting in all new gaskets, seals, "I" Head swap, megasquirt, the whole nine yards for a stroker/turbo build

I fixed the trunk the other day, i don't know if it's because it's off a 318, or if it was because it's a late model but it doesn't want to sit right. Any ideas? There is jsut a far gap from the tail lights and stuff, you can stick your fingers up underneath the trunk. i only paid 20 for it so if i picked up a non fitting one it's no biggy

You might be one of the first people that has said that haha. Sometimes it looks silver at night, i like it a lot actually. It's luxor beige mettalic. I'm going to get a new front valance, some skirts and rear valance and get it resprayed this summer

Haha i know, he's kinda being stupid about it. Idk i guess their isn't much i can do. As of now i just have little things to worry about. The engine will get a whole rebuild in May or June

I'm in the process of talking to the guys over at Dederic, or blueapplesoda, i think that's his name on the forum. Going to order a full stainless 3in catless exhaust back to a magnaflow single in dual out muffler. Hopefully it sounds pretty good.

Well if you look at the previous pictures of the trunk i am assuming that the driver side light got messed up as well, i bought one of someone from the forums. Still waiting on it in the mail.
The rain guards were on it when i bought it. Kind of like it, can keep the windows open when it's and what not.
On a side note i put half the money down on an exhaust from Blueapplesoda over at Dederic motorsports.

Well i cleaned out the garage today and started taking stuff apaprt to do the timing belt/water pump. Noticed that the wires to my auxillary fan are basically non existent, my radiator hoses are rigged together, for some reason i think i have the wrong radiator too. My lower hose is on the driver side, and is snug against my power steering pulley, i think they may have ghetto rigged the shit out of it and that's why i have no power steering belt. Also i thought the lower hose was supposed to be on the passanger side, can anyone clarify for me? Will post some pics tomorrow, let me know what you think.

If you look at my first picture you can see the radiator hose on the driver side coming up and it's all bent to shit, do you see a problem with that?
