Trunk Light Fix DIY Day: 4/5/2012
Really nothing crazy, but I was excited enough to take pictures, so here they are lol
I didnt have clips or wire-splicers, so I had to make due with those soldering skills I learned in High-School
So both my trunk lights were out; as par with all e30s, my right side didnt even have a light-bulb harness, and the left one was out. Popped it out and took a quick 2 seconds to replace the bulb to see if I was drawing power.

Success! So, I set up my little workspace and began thinking of ways to splice a second light-assembly in
Had a derped up 6-button OBC harness from my OBC swap that gave me the perfect wiring solution. I even found a greena nd red cable that was the same thickness as the original power cable and matched colors too. Cut a brown one off aswell for OEM-colors dawg

New junkyard light-assembly, soldered and wiring ready for splicing (I covered up that live area with tape, mind you ;) ) That was simply for observations sake

I didnt want to completely cut the power cable off, so I took an extra 5 minutes of careful cutting to simply cut the rubber off my lines and leave the wires. Attached the 2nd power and twisted. then soldered them up.. Only to realize I totally derped it up and it was coming out through the wrong openning. went through a painstaking process of detaching the lines and resoldering (it only took like 5 mins though hah)

Spliced in the ground, which connects to the trunk-switch to turn on the lights when the trunk is released, by feeding that in through the other side aswell and repeating above procedure

Test fit to see if I was still drawing power and I didnt derp anything up

After popping a fuse, and ghetto-rigging it for the mean time until I can swoope new ones: SUCCESS
Gonna post engine bay shots soon cause I know I haven't put any up yet..
Enjoy,

5-speed swap done. Pics soon.
To anyone who doesn't have a short shifter. BUY BMA's KIT. It comes with everything for 2 bushing refreshes and a Z3 1.9 shifter. It has a slightly shorter throw (30% or so) than stock and it's freakin notchy. I've only driven around the block cause my slave cylinder took a crap on me, but it feels amazing.. Can't wait to finish up the reverse light wiring, get my interior spsquared away, and get everything DONE
Looks like I'm ready for Bimmerfest now :mrgreen:Comment

My First Pic-Dump

Just finished rebuilding the recliners and fixing the back mount for the front seats so there is no more play when moving my back in the seat.
Sport Seats are 100000 times more comfy than comforts. Freaking stoked!
Now currently saving some money for reupholstery to begin the next beautifying phase of my project
I want black headliner and rear speaker shelf so bad now!!! lolComment

Fixed the leak. Turns out it was just an overfill on my end and none of my seals were bad. Derp
Good thing though.. Cause I was able to fix some of the gaskets and fill it with auto-transmission oil instead of what I put in before, which was Gear Oil. Anyone want to buy new input/output transmission seals? Lol
Had some slight vibrations and weird sounds in the beginning, but it cleared up quick after a decent amount of driving. FEELS AMAZING!!!
Bimmerfest, Here I come :-DComment

Haven't updated in a while, but I shall now!
Remember that crappy red interior?

It is now officially somewhat less crappy

I hated the old mega-huge breaker switch and how it sounded like an atomic bomb was going off whenever you pressed it, so I found a 4 door switch and retrofitted it into an early console. I love having my buttons slightly further up

Immaculate e34 cig-lighter 4daswaggs

I have never seen one of these in such good condition before... I am quite proud of it :-D
So all this time spent, and still no LOWZ. That'll come soon enough and once I settle one what wheels I want to blow money on next. Near with my swagg interior updates, but performance mods soon to come :-D
Guess what's neeeeext...?Comment
