Not much of an update, just some phone pictures since I put the schmidts back on.

You might have noticed my latest "mod" not much or one really. This one is all function, opened up a path to get some more air to the intercooler.

Also I am leaving tomorrow night to drive the car to Miller Performance in Abbotsford BC to have the car dyno tuned on Friday. I am also planning on going to check out the Great Canadian VW show while I am there. I might make a new thread for that road trip.

I still have the Schmidt TH Lines seen in the original post. Just not using them right now as I know traction will be an issue with 215 wide tires on a 9" rim. The plan is to. Narrow the rears to 8.5" which should allow me to clear a 225 no problem.

Okay, so I don't know if this really even qualifies as an update more of a photo dump. I got the car running on the 17th and basically have just been driving it since. I still have a fair bit of work to do on the car especially on the interior and have to finish up putting on the wiring covers and tidying up the engine bay. So I decided to take some crappy pictures tonight and here they are.

There are some better pictures of that earlier in the thread.

Basically I modified the endtanks on the intercooler so that it would fit as tight as possible between the "frame rails" and then trimmed out fairly large sections of the valance to make it fit. I have a 16'' medium profile SPAL pusher fan with the mounting gasket mounted directly to the rad and then the intercooler sits all the way back against the fan in between the rails. It's so tight I still barely believe it fits.

I also made some progress on the outside of the car.

Got the front valance back on.

I told you the intercooler fit TIGHT!

One with the bumper back in place.

.... And, it looks like my car again!!!!! By the way, what intercooler?

So I had a pretty productive weekend working on the car. Got a fair bit of stuff done, here is what I got done under the hood.

Firstly I re-made my fuel lines. I wasn't comfortable with how the SS braided lines clamped onto the hardline and also with them running under the intake manifold in close proximity to all that wiring and the heater core hoses I was worried they might rub through one of the hoses or some wiring. So I re-made them using aeroquip starlite racing hose. Uses the same AN hose ends as the SS braided line and is rated for fuel use as well.

Has a black fabric braid instead of stainless steel

Then I got the intake manifold and air filter installed.

Intake drilled and tapped with 1/8'' NPT thread for vacuum lines.

Aeromotive remote adjustable fuel pressure regulator installed and plumbed (fuel and vacuum).

Last but not least got the cold side boost pipe installed, also got BOV and MAF attached and hooked up. I looked at the pictures when I got home and noticed I forgot to hook my ICV up to the intake elbow, oops!

I have some more pictures for everyone. Nothing terribly interesting but might be worth looking at.

Fuel rail with 60 lb/hr injectors ready to go in.

My apologies on the quality of the next pictures, I am no photographer so everything is just taken with a point and shoot. Doesn't yeild the best results when you are laying on your back under the car.

UUC Evo3 SSK, and DSSR installed. I used the e36 328/m3 SSK and DSSR as well as the e36 shift carrier. The last photo is a little blurry but shows a slight bend I put in the DSSR. I did this because the clearance between it and the guibo was almost non-existant. Also using the e36 parts the shifter in nuetral sits forward of center in the opening of the e30 center console, this also helped that somewhat.

    Driveshaft is in

Diff with m-coupe finned cover and new axles installed. Axles are lifetime warranty from NAPA so we will have to see what they say if I happen to break one.

And a few more pictures of my muffler now that its back from powdercoating. I tried to make the tips look like they do on the stock exhaust by having them come out of the valence at an angle and cutting them on an angle. Then I wanted to get them coated black chrome like on the new 135i's and other new BMW's. Unfortunately my powdercoater couldn't get his black chrome powder to work properly so we settled on just semi-gloss black. A little disappointing but I still think it looks good.

I am looking forward to bringing it! I really wanted to make it this year but obviously that didn't work out.

Thanks, do you mean the cap or the or the one on the back with the gauge senders in it?

The cap is from rallyroad.net and the block for the gauge senders is edge motorsports or edge motorworks, something like that. I bought it used from a member here so I am not 100% sure.
