I think the concern is that the flywheel is exposed. In later engines, the oil pan extends to cover that area and the thin plate goes all the way around. Given your attention to detail I'm guessing you haven't yet bolted up the "bowl reinforcement" (PN 11141286342)?

How long do you think it has taken you to rebuild to where you are now?

Yes it is there. you cant see it in that shot
it can be see here, on the engine side.

yesterday we worked on it some more. all the tucking of wires and small things make for poor pics since nothing really looks changed.

under the dash wasnt fun. wires wires wires. <.<

By the end of the day we were able to attach the battery and everything (electrical) but the headlights worked perfectly.

i still am missing the backet for the ABS box on the diver's side and then i can put the knee bolster in.

a quick PnP run and i was able to mount the air ducts and set the fogs in.

just a little more to go until we get a first start.

Im also madly in love with this head unit. 10/10 would buy again. and the JL 10W3v3 10" sub in the luke box is really clear.

Eric, when mounting the front valence, did you encounter any issues with spacing when it joins with the fenders? I noticed from the factory, that sometimes they will use some body putty before paint to ensure an even gap.

Here are the parts that D washed.

Bumper blinkers on. wires run. fuel line done. hood latch done. fog lights procured and gluing. I had forgotten to mention the AGM group 49 battery is in. placing a $250 order to pelican now for all the stupid things i forgot to buy. and another order is being handled by BMW for specialty items.
