i bought a car that caught on fire!

a short in the front harness (thanks to a crappy alarm system) ignited the hood insulation.
funny thing is, I bought a new battery ground strap and drove it about 160 miles, no problem. well, i suppose the only problem was i wanted to go faster.. so i'm going fuh raze on this one.
m20 ready for extraction
almost out (only hang up was the p/s pump.. 86'd that quick)
M20, meet S52
i picked up pretty much an entire e36 m3 drivetrain for a steal, and will be parting out the M20 and unusable S52 items to fund the acquisition of maintenance items, swap parts, and more go-fast bits. i'm going OBD2 and prepping it to be my 3-season daily and autocross/HPDE car.
stay tuned for the following.. full harness exchange! seat restoration! late model valances! welding! more exclamation marks!
