Gave it a clean tonight. Unfortunately found that the rear left wheel has been guttered bad while at the workshop. I called them, they are going to sort it out.
It looks like it has been guttered and then patched up with a touch up paint, so whoever did it, knows they did it and tried to hide it. I trust the guys at the workshop, but it was towed back and forward to an exhaust place and a specialty auto electricians place. Could of been them, or most likely the tow truck driver while loading or unloading the car, who knows... Either way will get it sorted soon enough.

I think the ability of the tuner had a lot to do with it. Honestly the car was tuned terribly the first time and there was no chance i was going to take it back there again. I took it to another place for the new tune, I had taken my old civic trackcar there plenty of times in the past and i trust them a lot more. Was well worth it.
But yeah, the Haltech does have a lot more functions and options for the tuner to utilise, along with the added cam sensor and Wideband controller, i guess the tuner could get a much more efficient result.
Thanks mate :) Actually no, I just rolled it a lot with a guard roller. It's a pretty rough job when you get up close to be honest, but no rubbing at drive height so works for now.Leave a comment:

Thats a sharp look with the compo's! Did you cut the rear guards to get them that paper flat?Leave a comment:

Finally got the e30 back from the workshop yesterday.
I Had the Microtech removed and replaced with a Haltech Elite 2500 + Haltech CAN Wideband controller with a new tune from scratch, while still using the Microtech X6igbt ignition module for the coil pack setup.
Car now drives perfectly, pretty much drives like a standard m20 but with a bit more power and plenty more sound :) Absolutely stoked with the result.
The original tune when the ITB's were first done was 105kw ATW and the car was more or less undriveable after about 2 months from picking it up. This got worse and worse over the following months... With the new tune, using the Haltech, it made 115kw ATW. So no change to the engine setup, but picked up 10kw's and some actual drivability. Not a powerhouse by any stretch of the word, but feels great to drive and sounds amazing.

The glove box has been reinstalled since the photo btw, also cut the floor mat to fit without bunching up like that.

Thanks heaps mate :)
Car is currently in the process of getting a Haltech Elite 2500 ECU installed with a fresh tune. Has been at the shop for almost 5 weeks now so should be finished any day now.Leave a comment:
