Thought I would chuck the BBS RS onto the coupe, since the wagon is taking it's sweet time to get engineering/RWC. Can't leave the wheels sitting gathering dust...

Specs: 15x9 +3 and 15x8 +12 (no spacers, natural camber)

Looks good they said, will be fun they said....

First drive out with the new wheels with the missus in the car, hit a crappy risen tram line on princess hwy and BANG!! cracked sump again... Didn't help that the bash plate is pretty much fucked so really does nothing...Looks like it's the train until the new sump AND new bash plate arrives. Or if the wagon finally gets finished...

Thanks mate :) For the coupe I had Ground control make me up a kit with shortened struts, Koni shocks, eibach springs and the GC coil over sleeves. Front has another 20mm of threads left but the rears are maxed out.

I used to have the front maxed out but only left me with 40mm ground clearance from the skid plate.

Touring won't be on the road for about another week or so, I am probably going to keep the BBS on the coupe now.

I ended up ordering another set of wheels from the US which should be here in a couple of weeks. Will post pics and details when they eventually arrive ;)

                  Update:
My steering wheel finally arrived today, after a 3.5 week wait from Germany. Picked this up for pretty cheap in the end compared to the usual asking price (at least I think so) Genuine Alpina 360mm. Has the switchtronic buttons on it, which to be honest I hadn't seen befor. To be completely honest I am not sure what specific model this was originally from, but have been on the hunt for an Alpina wheel for a while now, this one came up at a good price so I grabbed it :) Still on the hunt for a matching gear knob btw

Will be going on the Touring

So another replacement sump came in about a week ago. Just in time for a photoshoot for a website. Thought I would lower it to its max for the shoot. Anyway, drive to the shoot, hit the road once, photographer gets to work and notices a small leak coming from underneath... Thats right, another sump... Lucky I ordered two because the second one came a few days later and i fixed it up no problems. But this time I have raised the car a bit more, hopefully will stopp busting sumps...

Even with the bashplate, I think my engine mounts are gone, because the motor seems to be sitting lower than it used to. I have ordered new mounts so should get here soon.

Also in other news, the Touring is going in for rego tomorrow morning so I will finally be able to drive it on the road legit and start to have some fun with it :) Froth.

E30 Touring is finally registered, so now i can get to work on doing a few things to it. Unfortunately due to the shitty road laws down here in AUS i can't take the risk of modifying too much for at least 1 month after acquiring the roadworthy certificate, otherwise the mechanic that gave me the roady could get in trouble...

                      So starting off small.

My touring didn't come with the factory tool kit... So i ended up buying a stock e30 318is tool kit as well as a nice little wrap up tool bag. Just so happened to fit in the factory side compartment perfectly :)

Also changed the front brake pads to a set of EBC greenstuff. I have matching rears which i will put on soon. While trying to remove the factory brake pad wear sensor I managed to completely wreck it...:/ No idea how it was meant to come out...

Nice cars, I recognize your coupe from SW. You need a new skidplate like now.

I want that Awesome Sauce air freshener lol, what's it smell like?

Did a little bit more work on the Touring today. Got the Treehouse racing lower eyeball control arm bushing things installed:

As well as new Mahle HD Front swaybar endlinks:

And took out the TB and intake setup to make way for a BBTB setup:

haha thanks mate, yep that is the truth. If i was going to be driving it low in the future I would probably invest in that skidplate that has the big welded hoop bar in the design. Would take a lot more abuse than the current one i use. I am swapping in the coil-overs into the touring so the coupe won't be all that low anymore :(

The awesome sauce freshener smells good man, hard to describe but they don't last very long. looks cool though, i have a heap of them in the garage, made by 'Hybrid Racing' who sponsor my civic racecar.

Changed all the Coolant hoses on the Touring to Silicone replacements this arvo. Also looped the coolant hoses that previously went up to the throttle body. Had a long piece of silicon hose to direct link the two coolant ports.

This hose was the only one that didn't fit perfect, the lower part of the hose had a slightly bigger opening than the stock one, so was a little bigger than the water neck :/ hopefully it won't leak, I have tightened a clamp down onto it fairly solid so should be ok.

New Leads, to get rid of the ugly blue ones that came with the car

New Ignition cap + Ignition Rotor

New Fuel pump + Level Sender

New custom cup holders thanks to R3vlimited member 'SFGadgetGuy'. Fit perfect :)

Yeah, once you bend the crap out of those plates, they never stay true to how strong they were before. Same problem here.
